A note from the artist: Painting process takes the form of ‘colour space’ – ‘colour expression’
Painting is a continuous movement of the mind where innumerable thoughts, ideas, and emotions originate in an abstract form, stabilize, and disappear. To begin painting on canvas is an attempt to embody those abstract movements of the mind. Here in the attempt the painter himself is ignorant of the way in which this endeavour will begin and end.
Colour (light) is a very important factor in this painting journey. There are only colours that come to the fore as point, line, form, space, texture, and this whole painting process is a disciplined movement of thoughts, perception, and elements of art against the background of light. Since colour is a major element in the painting, it is very important to consider the existence of colour and form of colour. So when we think of the existence of colour, we will realize that colour is a form of space and a form of emotion. Each colour has it’s own space, it’s own atmosphere, that colour space, and atmosphere have an effect on the mind of the painter and the viewer. Even a single dot of colour has an infinite space in it.
