Dr. Awdesh Prasad Mishra is an artist and art educator, born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. His abstract art tries to capture the vitality and joyous spirit of life. During his study of Art (BFA & MFA) at Banaras he was close to the great musicians and artists where couplets and songs of Kabira, the Tantrik and devotional fragrance of many hermits were blessed in the air. This reflects in his works as he joyfully attempts to paint the bliss, celebration, hope, vigour and festivity of life which is one reason why he uses bright colours. He paints irrepressible motion that never stops backward because time never turns. He engages into his belifs to paint life, vitality and fullness (material and spiritual). He has held over seventeen solo shows of his work, and participated in many exhibitions and art camps. He has been given multiple awards for his contributions and achievements in art education and culture.
